Summary

NatalPulse collects only the data necessary to calculate your birth chart and deliver your reading. No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

What data we collect

When you order a reading, we collect:

• Your name — used to personalize your reading and email
• Email address — to deliver your reading and payment receipt
• Your birth date, birth time, and birth place (as latitude/longitude) — required to calculate your exact birth chart (planetary positions, houses, and aspects) using the Swiss Ephemeris astronomical calculation library
• Your chosen topic (e.g. love, career, purpose) — used to focus the AI-written interpretation
• A second person's name, birth date, birth time, and birth place — only if you request the optional synastry (relationship) reading, for calculating that person's chart and the relationship between the two charts
• Payment details — processed via Stripe, we do not store card details ourselves

Use of AI tools

Your birth chart itself (planetary positions, houses, aspects) is calculated with a deterministic astronomical library, not AI. Only the written interpretation of that already-calculated chart data is generated using AI (Anthropic). The AI is instructed to use only the calculated chart facts it is given and not invent additional placements.

How data is used

• Calculating your birth chart and, if requested, a synastry chart with a second person
• Generating and delivering your written reading by email
• Processing payment and sending a receipt
• Technical support (e.g. resolving delivery issues)

Data retention

Order and payment transaction records are kept for as long as accounting legislation requires. Your submitted birth data and the reading content are kept for at most 3 years for complaint handling, then deleted.

Third parties

• Payment processing — Stripe. For payment data, Stripe acts as an independent data controller under its own privacy policy. We never see or store card details.
• AI reading generation — Anthropic (processes your calculated chart data, your chosen topic, and your first name, to generate the reading text)
• Email delivery — Brevo
• Free Sun-sign sample — Groq (processes your birth date, chosen focus area and the short situation you write, to generate the free reflection; we also keep those free-form answers to improve the service)
• Bot protection — Cloudflare Turnstile (on the free-sample form) and Cloudflare (DNS/CDN)
• Birth-city search — OpenStreetMap Nominatim (receives the city text you type, without your name or email)
• Automation and hosting — n8n (Contabo, EU server); the chart calculation itself runs on our own server, also in the EU

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some providers (Stripe, Anthropic, Groq) process data in the United States. Transfers are protected by EU-approved safeguards (EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Email delivery (Brevo), the automation platform, and the chart-calculation server (all self-hosted or EU-region) operate within the EU.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use tracking cookies.

Marketing emails and free sample

If you tick the optional box on the free-sample page, we store your email address, the consent timestamp and its source in order to send you occasional astrology tips and offers. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing [email protected]. If you also tick the separate optional box for sister-site offers, our marketing emails may include short offers for our sister sites TarotPulse and LifePathPulse. We send these emails ourselves from NatalPulse; your email address is not passed to the sister sites for this purpose, and each site's unsubscribe link stops that site's emails. The free Sun-sign reflection you request by email is sent once as a service message. Free-sample answers are stored without your name and are used only to improve the service.

Data about other people (synastry readings)

If you submit a second person's birth details for a synastry reading, you are responsible for having that person's permission to share this information with us. We process it only to calculate and deliver the reading you requested, and retain it under the same data retention terms as your own data.
